Keepin’ It Local

The floral industry has one of the highest carbon footprints across all sectors due primarily to the common practice of using imported flowers from around the world. As a sustainable florist, I strive to use seasonal, locally-grown flowers from Colorado flower farms whenever possible. I am a proud member of the colorado flower collective and from March-September source as many flowers from local growers as possible.

Process and Practices

I never use floral foam that is petroleum-based, full of toxic chemicals, and made of microplastics that infiltrate our water. I do not use painted, dyed, or bleached florals. My floral waste is composted and I recycle aLL materials possible.

Additionally, I use recyclable mechanics and regularly upcycle vessels/vases, scour thrift stores and Facebook Marketplace to purchase items secondhand when possible.
