Meet Rachael, Owner and Lead Designer

As the granddaughter of a ballet dancer and water color painter, I spent my childhood painting and dancing—these influences bring a unique artist’s eye to my floral creations. Rachael is not only passionate about creating artistic, sustainable, organic feeling floral designs, but she is also a wedding photographer with over a decade in event planning. This means I come prepared with timelines, vendor recommendations, and will happily collaborate with as many family members or vendors to ensure worry-free, on-time, and gorgeous wedding and event florals.

When I’m not making the world a bit more beautiful with floral creations, I’m hiking in the mountains with my two-year-old goldendoodle and husband, reading historical nonfiction, or watching Gilmore Girls for the 500th time.

Iris & York was born in 2020. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients’ joy on their wedding day and helping them craft their vision or bring their vision to life. Irises are Rachael’s mother’s (Estel) favorite flower and “York” is a nod to Rachael’s old neighborhood, Yorkville, in New York City.
